This University Level Award for Architecture / Civil Engineering Students is for the Best Innovative Construction Practices organized by PCERF in CONSTRO is the first endeavor to motivate the students for inculcating the research culture in young generation. This Award is planned to motivate the students from the field of Architecture and Civil Engineering. This Award process aims at enkindling the thoughts and skills of the students to come up with efficient ways of thinking about various facets of construction practices such as flexibility in design, economic and ecological benefits, speed of construction, cost effectiveness, life cycle cost benefit etc. and many more.PCERF is pursuing the task of organizing an interesting and challenging competition during CONSTRO for inculcating research aptitude and attitude in budding engineers and architects and evaluating the same for the students who have graduated in recent past. This is a major interface event created between the users and customers on one side and the providers and manufacturers on the other side. This is a biennial event to be held for the students of Architecture / Civil Engineering studying in the Colleges / Institutes of Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU) with a view to recognize, appreciate and finally reward the talents of young Architects / Civil Engineers.
To boost the talent and creativity among the students of Civil Engineering and Architecture, PCERF (Pune Construction Engineering Research Foundation) has invited entries for it’s prestigious ‘B. G. Shirke Vidyarthi Awards- 2020’.This is the 5th year of these awards, which includes cash prize, trophy and certificate. Winners will also get a chance to present their work in front of eminent construction industry professionals and experts.
Students can apply in 6 different categories for these awards, 3 each for Civil Engineering and Architecture. Under graduate students of Civil Engineering can apply with their final year project, while under graduate Architecture students can apply with their 4th or 5th year Urban Design or Urban Insert project. The post graduate students from both the streams can apply with their final year project. There is a special category for project work of 2nd and 3rd year Civil and Architecture students.

A. Participating students are expected to submit their project work (already completed as a part of academic requirement).
B. The process of participation is as follows:

ii. Format for submission of entries (in soft copy only) :
iii. PCERF will accept entries submitted through Institutes only, direct entries from students will not be accepted. Respective Colleges are required to authenticate their projects.
iv.Advisory Committee members (consisting of senior faculty from Civil Engineering and Architecture colleges) to short list entries in each group for presentation to Jury panel.
v. Students whose entry have been shortlisted to present their project work to Jury panel who will select award winners in each category.
vi. PCERF will organize Award ceremony at a suitable date to announce winners and felicitate them.
