MISSION

(i) To create, disseminate and integrate knowledge of civil engineering, science and technology that expands our civil / environmental engineering knowledge base, which in turn enables the betterment of human society.

(ii) To attract and welcome professionals of civil engineering fields into advanced study who possess both breadth and depth in their chosen focus areas and are heavily recruited by construction industry for their academic strengths and their leadership skills.

(iii) To maintain an intellectually challenging, yet supportive and welcoming environment, that encourages and enables our faculty and staff to achieve their best in a diverse community.

(iv) To develop and transfer innovative applications of civil engineering, science and technology to improve civil engineering practice.

(v) To be recognised by our peers as a highly effective leader in the conduct interdisciplinary research and the development of innovative approaches to solving civil engineering problems.
