This University Level Award for Architecture / Civil Engineering Students is for the Best Innovative Construction Practices organized by PCERF in CONSTRO is the first endeavor to motivate the students for inculcating the research culture in young generation. This Award is planned to motivate the students from the field of Architecture and Civil Engineering. This Award process aims at enkindling the thoughts and skills of the students to come up with efficient ways of thinking about various facets of construction practices such as flexibility in design, economic and ecological benefits, speed of construction, cost effectiveness, life cycle cost benefit etc. and many more.PCERF is pursuing the task of organizing an interesting and challenging competition during CONSTRO for inculcating research aptitude and attitude in budding engineers and architects and evaluating the same for the students who have graduated in recent past. This is a major interface event created between the users and customers on one side and the providers and manufacturers on the other side. This is a biennial event to be held for the students of Architecture / Civil Engineering studying in the Colleges / Institutes of Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU) with a view to recognize, appreciate and finally reward the talents of young Architects / Civil Engineers.
To boost the talent and creativity among the students of Civil Engineering and Architecture, PCERF (Pune Construction Engineering Research Foundation) has invited entries for its prestigious ‘PCERF – B.G. Shirke Vidyarthi Awards 2023’. This is the 7th year of these awards, which includes Cash prizes, Trophy and Certificates. Winners will also get a chance to showcase their work in front of eminent construction industry professionals and experts at CONSTRO 2024.
There are mainly 2 categories in each sector viz. Under Graduate (UG) and Post Graduate (PG). Architecture Under Graduate students can apply with their 4th year project whereas Post Graduate students can apply with their final year Thesis Project. In case of Civil Engineering Under Graduate and Post Graduate can apply with their Final year project.

A. Participating students are expected to submit their project work (already completed as a part of academic requirement).
B. The process of participation is as follows:

3. PCERF will accept entries submitted through Institutions only. Direct entries from students will not be accepted. Respective Colleges are required to authenticate their student’s project work. It is necessary for students to add self-attestation in EoI.
4. Entry fees: Entry fee of Rs. 750/- per entry (Options to pay) – .
5. The form of ‘Expression of Interest (EoI) is attached. Colleges / Institutions interested in participating in the Awards should forward a soft copy of EoI duly filled in, to the PCERF office on email address given below latest by 25th August 2023.
6. Submission of soft copy entries to PCERF office on email address given below latest by 16th September 2023.
7. Institutions will be intimated about short-listed entries around the last week of October 2023.
8. Short-listed candidates will be invited for presentation to the Jury Panel around the third week of November 2023.
9. Short listed candidates would be given a time of 10 minutes to present their project to the Jury Panel, followed by Question – Answer.
10. Award Ceremony will be organized at CONSTRO 2024 held in between 4th – 7th January 2024.
