Pune Construction Engineering Research Foundation is an NGO established in 1983. Eminent Civil Engineers, Architects, Designers, Consultants and Builders came together with a vision and decided to serve the Construction Sector by solving day to day problems and creating awareness about new technological developments and their ground applications. For over 40 years now, PCERF is working to improve Quality, Safety, Knowledge, Technology, Research and Development in the Construction Sector by organizing workshops, seminars, webinars, conferences and refresher courses, knowledge series for the gamut of personnel associated with Construction – the grass root level of skilled, semi-skilled and unskilled workers, students, technical consultants, constructors and entrepreneurs. In addition, competitions and publications are also undertaken from time to time. An interesting initiative of PCERF is Constro – an exclusive international Fair on Construction Machinery, Materials, the Methods and Projects. Constro, India’s largest International Fair from the past several times has been held on the Pune International Exhibition and Convention Center (PIECC), Moshi Pune. Constro has matched the International Standards in terms of facilities offered and overall business and social ambience.

As per the past experience, it is expected that top decision makers and consultants will keep attending Constro. Since it is a business fair, traders and distributors of Construction Machinery, Products and Equipment, Interior and Architectural Products will also be present at the mega show. The team of organizer is confident that upcoming Constro International Fair will unleash multiple opportunities to participants as a result of shared knowhow during the event.

MISSION

(i) To create, disseminate and integrate knowledge of Civil engineering, science and technology that expands our civil/environmental engineering knowledge base, which in turn enables the betterment of human society.

(ii) To attract and welcome professionals of civil engineering fields into advanced study who possess both breadth and depth in their chosen focus areas and are heavily recruited by construction industry for their academic strength and their leadership skills.

(iii) To maintain an intellectually challenging, yet supportive and welcoming environment, that encourages and enables our faculty and staff to achieve their best in a diverse community.

(iv) To develop and transfer innovative applications of civil engineering, technology and architectural science to improve civil engineering & architectural practice.

(v) To be recognized by our peers as a highly effective leader in the conduct interdisciplinary research and the development of innovative approaches to solving civil engineering problems.

(vi) To attract and welcome graduate, PG students to our program in Civil Engineering and to graduate engineers, construction site staff, who become leaders in their organizations, and who possess the knowledge and skills required for a wide range of careers and career changes.

(vii) To provide practical and application-oriented learning in engineering to students, thereby making them job-ready immediately upon graduation.

HISTORY

Observing the significant development and foreseeing future trends, some leading professional engineers and architects got together to consider the formation of an association for research and development work to seek new avenues, develop new processes and materials to bring about a qualitative improvement in construction technology. Their efforts ushered in the Pune Construction Engineering Research Foundation – PCERF, a unique non-profit organization. It was incorporated on August 24th 1983.

PCERF is an NGO established with the initiative of prominent construction professional from Pune. It’s membership includes representatives from various construction as well as architectural fields. It has been known for it’s industrial activities and social responsibilities. Constro Exhibitions since 1985 is a perfect PCERF is working hard to improve safety, quality, knowledge, research and developments in various fields of Construction & related Industry.
