With the aim of encouraging and nurturing young talent, PCERF initiated the prestigious PCERF B.G. Shirke Vidyarthi Awards for students of Architecture, Civil Engineering, M. Planning, and other Engineering disciplines undertaking projects related to the Civil Engineering and Construction domain. M/s. B.G. Shirke Construction Technologies Pvt. Ltd. has been associated with the awards as a sponsor since their inception.
The awards provide students with an opportunity to showcase their ideas, creativity, and academic projects, while interacting with industry professionals and gaining valuable exposure to the construction sector.
More than a competition, the awards aim to bridge the gap between academia and industry, encourage students and young professionals to explore innovative solutions, and recognize the talent and potential of the next generation of architects, engineers, planners, and construction professionals.
Methodology
PCERF has been organizing the Vidyarthi Awards since 2016, providing a platform for students of Architecture, Civil Engineering, M. Planning, and other Engineering disciplines undertaking projects related to the Civil Engineering and Construction domain
The 10th edition - PCERF B.G. Shirke Vidyarthi Awards 2026 is open to students from colleges and institutions affiliated with AICTE/COA-approved institutions, State Universities, Autonomous Institutes, Deemed Universities, IITs, NITs, and other recognized premier institutions across India.
Students are invited to submit completed academic project work undertaken as part of their curriculum. Selected projects may receive opportunities for further mentoring, research support, development, and industry-level implementation through PCERF.
The awards aim to provide students with recognition, industry exposure, knowledge sharing, and opportunities to connect with professionals, while encouraging innovation and excellence in the built environment.

Selection Process
The PCERF B.G. Shirke Vidyarthi Awards provide students with an opportunity to showcase their academic projects and gain recognition from industry professionals. The selection process is designed to ensure a fair and transparent assessment at every stage.
Project Registration & Submission
Students register and submit their projects directly through the official online portal as per the prescribed guidelines.
Screening & Shortlisting
The Assessment Committee reviews the submitted projects and selects the Top 10 entries in each category for the final round.
Expert Jury Assessment
The shortlisted projects undergo external evaluation by an Industry Expert Jury Panel, which assesses the entries based on defined criteria and selects the Top 3 entries from each category.
The process recognizes innovation, technical quality, creativity, practical relevance, and overall project excellence.
Entry fees: A nominal entry fee of Rs. 750 per entry will be charged to cover admin expenses.

Note: Certificate of participation for all the entries with the name of the Institution and Guide will be provided. Registered participants get free entry at the Constro International Exhibition 2026/2027.
Final Stage Presentation
- Shortlisted candidates present to Jury Members. Modes: PPT, working model, perspective views, walkthroughs, videos, etc.
- Virtual presentation may be allowed with prior permission if candidates are unable to attend physically.
- Winners felicitated at the renowned exhibition Constro in front of eminent stalwarts of the construction sector, with a chance to exhibit their work.
Other Rules
- Must enroll by submitting the online Expression of Interest form.
- No replacing submitted names after form completion.
- Originality of work is essential. Project identity or institution name must not be disclosed on submissions.
- The decision of PCERF is final. Canvassing in any form leads to disqualification.
