PCERF B.G. Shirke Vidyarthi Awards
With the objective to foster the talent among the students of Architecture and Civil Engineering, PCERF has initiated these prestigious ‘PCERF B.G. Shirke Vidyarthi Awards’. M/s. B.G. Shirke Construction Technologies Pvt. Ltd. has been associated with these awards as a sponsor since inception. This competition aims to recognize, appreciate, and reward talented young architects and civil engineers studying in colleges and institutes of architecture and civil engineering.
This award helps students showcase their creativity, connect with industry professionals, and network within the construction industry. This award is an initiative to bridge the gap between industry and academia to benefit the construction sector.
Methodology
PCERF has been organizing Vidyarthi Awards since the year 2016, for Civil Engineering and Architecture students at Under Graduate and Post Graduate and Diploma levels. The 10th in series ‘PCERF B.G.Shirke Vidyarthi Awards 2026’ has been launched for students from colleges/institutions affiliated with AICTE/COA/MSBTE Approved State Universities, Autonomous Institutes, and Deemed Universities from Maharashtra. Participating students are expected to submit their project work which has been already completed as a part of their academic requirement. PCERF will assist eligible research projects for further expansion.
Objectives
- Bridging the gap between Industry and Academia.
- Promote the development of innovative and efficient thinking skills in students.
- Foster a passion for research and development in cutting-edge technologies among students.
- To develop effective and practical solutions to address the challenges in the construction industry.
Selection Process
These awards aim to motivate the students with active support from the institutes. Through these awards, students can showcase their projects and gain recognition from professionals in the industry. The following are the stages of the selection:
The Head of Department will recommend institute projects for various categories, or students may send their projects directly.
The Assessment Committee will select the best 10 entries per category from stage 1 for the final round.
External assessment will be carried out by the Industry Expert Jury panel to finalize the Top 3 entries from each category.
Entry fees: A nominal entry fee of Rs. 750 per entry will be charged to cover admin expenses.

Note: Certificate of participation for all the entries with the name of the Institution and Guide will be provided. Registered participants get free entry at the Constro International Exhibition 2026/2027.
Final Stage Presentation
- Shortlisted candidates present to Jury Members. Modes: PPT, working model, perspective views, walkthroughs, videos, etc.
- Virtual presentation may be allowed with prior permission if candidates are unable to attend physically.
- Winners felicitated at the renowned exhibition Constro in front of eminent stalwarts of the construction sector, with a chance to exhibit their work.
Other Rules
- Must enroll by submitting the online Expression of Interest form.
- No replacing submitted names after form completion.
- Originality of work is essential. Project identity or institution name must not be disclosed on submissions.
- The decision of PCERF is final. Canvassing in any form leads to disqualification.
