PCERF - Kumar Beharay Construction Safety Awards
PCERF Kumar Beharay Safety Awards aims to create maximum awareness of Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) in the construction industry. It is not only transforming organization’s culture but also inculcating the best ethical practices in the construction sector.
Pune Construction Engineering Research Foundation (PCERF), Pune has been organizing the PCERF- Kumar Beharay Construction Safety Awards over the years. The latest edition (13th in series) of these awards has been initiated for the year 2026.
The Award provides a perfect avenue to engage different layers from this sector including contractors, site management, and frontline workers in promoting a Safety, Health & Environmental culture.
Categories for Safety Awards 2026

| 1 | PCERF Guidelines | Only participants recommended or invited by PCERF with consistent participation are eligible. |
| 2 | Building Contractors - A | Project value above 100 Cr. |
| 3 | Building Contractors - B | Project Value Less than 100 Cr. |
| 4 | Building Contractors - C | Project Value up to 50 Cr. |
| 5 | Building Developers - A | Project Value Above 300 Cr. |
| 6 | Building Developers - B | Project Value Less Than 300 Cr. |
| 7 | Building Developers - C | Project value up to 50 Cr. |
| 8 | Industrial Projects | Any site engaged in industrial buildings or development of industrial areas (No cost limit). |
| 9 | Infrastructure Projects | Projects related to infrastructure like flyovers, metro rail, highways, STP, tunnels, etc. (No cost limit). |
| 10 | Regional Category | Regional Contractors outside Pune District or Company Registration outside Pune. |
Other Selection Criteria
- Sites shall be at a stage in between 25% to 75% of progress during the start of the competition period.
- Entries shall not be accepted if the company has been convicted for any contraventions regarding safety, health, and environment provisions, or if any fatal accidents occurred in the recent past.
- Any special projects not falling under the standard categories shall be suitably categorized as per PCERF guidelines.
- Applied categories are subject to the approval of PCERF respective technical committees.
- Other competition details shall be presented during the Orientation Meeting conducted before site visits.
